What do you dream for your family? What are you willing to do to make that dream come true? Cara Mía Theatre Co. addresses those questions through the eyes of immigrants with its newest production, a year and half in the making. Based on research and interviews with local immigrants, Cara Mía Theatre Co. has crafted The Dreamers, a trilogy on immigration.
The first of these plays, The Dreamer: A Bloodline, tells the story of three women and the dangerous road they travel to secure a better life for their children. The play will have its premiere at the Latino Cultural Center, and thanks to Cara Mía Theatre Co. we have two pairs of tickets to giveaway for the June 1 performance.
If after signing up for this Big Deal you find you have not satisfied your theater needs, then check out our other two offerings this week – tickets for National Theatre of London’s NT Live: This House playing at the Angelika Film Center or tickets for Reinventing Radio: An Evening with Ira Glass at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
