Our dance community suffered a tremendous and unexpected loss last week when choreographer Bruce Wood died. His supporters, and his dancers, The Bruce Wood Dance Project, vowed to carry on in his honor. And they will do just that, starting their fourth season as planned on June 12 and 13 at the Dallas City Performance Hall. Woods’ premiere work Touch is on the program, as are two of Woods’ favorite dances – The Only Way Through is Through, and Home performed to Gabriel Faure’s Requiem. This Big Deal offers winners a chance to join the memorial celebration of the work of Bruce Wood on Thursday, June 12.
Our two other offerings this week include tickets to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Meyerson Symphony Center, and tickets to see Bobby Womack at the AT&T Performance Center.
PLEASE NOTE: Only Art&Seek e-newsletter subscribers can win the Big Deal. If you are not a subscriber then take care of that first, then sign up below for a chance to celebrate the passion and works of Bruce Wood.
UPDATE: We have our winners now. Thank you.
