Gayle Halperin, president of Bruce Wood Dance, says “‘Rise’ is relevant to current events, and particularly to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Its themes mirror the emotional turmoil from those losses, and the tenacity it takes to rebuild.”
