Brian Culbertson and David Sanborn’s Dream Tour is coming to Dallas next Thursday, Aug. 9. The AT&T Performing Arts Center is hosting the pair of jazz legends during their first national tour together.

Culbertson single-handedly recorded his debut album, Long Night Out. The album spent ten consecutive weeks in the Top Five of the adult contemporary charts. He’s since put out several other albums, including After Hours (1995), Secrets (1997), and Somethin’ Bout Love (1999). In 2008, Culbertson released Bringing Back the Funk, an acclaimed album that is credited with bringing new life to the urban jazz genre. Brian Culbertson won his third National Smooth Jazz Award for Best Keyboardist of the year, 2002.
David Sanborn is no stranger to North Texas audiences – playing his brand of smooth Jazz David Sanborn has been the most influential saxophonist on pop, R&B, and crossover players of the past 20 years. Most of his recordings have been in the dance music/R&B vein, although Sanborn is a capable jazz player. David Sanborn has released 24 albums, won 6 Grammy® Awards and has toured, recorded, collaborated and performed with greats such as Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Paul Simon and James Taylor.
