Remember the music scene of 1971, or if you are a youngster like me, maybe you’ve read about the music scene of 1971. That was the time when The Beatles were finding their individual musical identities, Three Dog Night, Carole King, and Rod Stewart had chart topping hits. The rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar’s album was one of the number one top albums on Billboard magazine that year, and Godspell debuted off Broadway. Godspell was the second major work for the young composer Stephen Shwartz, who went on to write the award-winning WickedGodspell is loosely based on the parables from the Gospels of St. Matthew and St. Luke. The show produced the popular hit “Day by Day.”

Win this Big Deal and you can experience the emotional and uplifting songs of Godspell again or maybe for the first time when AT&T Performing Arts Center presents the rock musical Feb.18 through March 2 at the Winspear Opera House.

And while you are signing up for this Big Deal you see more clearly to sign up for our other Big Deals this week – tickets to see The Fantasticks at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, or passes for Broadway HD: Romeo & Juliet screening at the Angelica Film Center in Dallas.

PLEASE NOTE: Only Art&Seek e-newsletter subscribers can win the Big Deal.  If you are not a subscriber then take care of that first, then sign up below for a chance to see Godspell at Winspear Opera House on opening night, Feb. 18.

UPDATE:  We have our winners.  Thanks for playing!
