The Big Deal: At the Kessler – Robert Glasper Experiment March 2, Raul Midon March 3

by Sonya Jones 22 Feb 2012 8:15 AM

Once again, we have TWO great deals to see shows at the Kessler Theater.

Robert Glasper Experiment performs at the Kessler on March 2 with special guest, Vagabond Swing. Robert Glasper Experiment’s new album Black Radio features an eclectic mix of collaborations with artists such as Erykah Badu, Lupe Fiasco, and Mos Def as well as a jazzy cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” While Robert Glasper’s roots are in jazz, the new album boldly stakes out new musical territory and transcends any notion of genre, drawing from jazz, hip-hop, R&B and rock.
