Here’s some food for thought.  A culture can be studied by how food is depicted in its art. The artwork, as a reflection of that society, is the basis for the latest exhibition at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.  Art and Appetite: American Painting, Culture, and Cuisine, presents still-life paintings from 18th century artists through the iconic work of 20th century Pop artists.  The exhibition is on display through May 18, but before you run down to the museum to take in the spread, you’ll want to enter to win this Big Deal first. Sign up for your chance to score the Art and Appetite: American Painting, Culture, and Cuisine exhibition catalogue.
