The Big Deal: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

by Jessica Cross 26 Feb 2020 1:33 AM

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater began when Alvin Ailey and a small group of African-American dancers took the stage on March 30, 1958, at New York City’s 92nd Street Y. More than 60 years later, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater continues as an American “cultural ambassador to the world”—having performed live for an estimated 25 million people in 48 states, 71 countries, and six continents. TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND brings the prestigious dance company to the Winspear Opera House, March 13-14. Enter this Big Deal giveaway for a chance to receive a pair of tickets to the opening night performance.
