The Big Deal: The 35th Annual Tejas Storytelling Festival

by Mia Estrada 19 Feb 2020 1:30 AM

It’s that time of year again, time for the Annual Tejas Storytelling Festival in Denton. Since 1985, storytellers have been gathering together to swap stories, tell ghost stories, and out do one another in a Liar’s Contest. This year’s 35th event will feature 35 Tejas Tellers, a Saturday night Talespinner Party, and  music and story workshops.  Some of the free attractions for the family include ghost stories concert, spring break concert for elementary-age kids, story slam, a family concert,  kids’ activities, and fringe concerts. Join storytellers and story lovers March 12-15 at the Denton Civic Center. Enter to win a family pack, or friend’s pack, of 4 festival passes.

Shayne Larango, a Texas storyteller, will be participating in the 35th annual Tejas Storytelling Association.

Don’t forget to check out our other Big Deals for the week. Sign up for a chance to see Lila Downs at the Winspear Opera House or Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth Presents ‘Mozart The Maverick.’

Please note: Only Art&Seek newsletter subscribers are eligible for the Big Deal. If you are not already a subscriber, you’ll want to sign up here for the newsletter first before signing up below. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Friday and will be notified by email.
