In Safety Not Guaranteed, three employees at a magazine decide they can get a story out of a classified ad that reads:
“Wanted: Someone to go back in time with. This is not a joke. You’ll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.”
And when the trio actually begins the investigation, one of them gets a little more involved in the possibilities presented than the others.
The film debuted at Sundance and also played SXSW. And along the way, it’s racked up some really good reviews – 92 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
It comes out locally on June 15, but you can get an early look at it Tuesday at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. Just download a pass (code: ARTSEE5RRH) and get there early as admission is first come, first served.
