- On Saturday, the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra presents the Teddy Bear Concert at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The concert features choirs from Fort Worth elementary schools singing holiday favorites. The show is free, but audience members are asked to bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal to help the Fort Worth Police Department aid children in crisis.
- Also on Saturday, AT&T Performing Arts Center hosts Oscar award-winning director Spike Lee at the Winspear Opera House. Lee’s appearance is part of the HereHear series which features leaders, thinkers, and innovators discussing their crafts.
- Lake Bob Sandlin State Park is all decked out for Christmas in the Park this weekend. Take a drive through the East Texas park and check out all the campsites decorated for the holidays. You can also take part in the ugly Christmas sweater contest, do some crafts with kids and get a photo with Santa.
- On Sunday catch Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears at Fort Worth’s Ridglea Theater Theatre. The show is presented by 91.7 KXT, and celebrates the 10th anniversary of the album “Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is!”
