- Tonight! The Dallas Video Fest continues at Texas Theatre with DJ Spooky’s unique remix of the controversial 1915 film “Birth of a Nation.”
- The Dallas Public library is celebrating black cinema with the Historic African American Film Series at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. They will be showing William Alexander’s “Souls of Sin” (1949). The series continues through October.
- Also in Dallas, super sleuth Sherlock Holmes takes on his most famous case in the play, “The Hound of the Baskervilles” at Mountain View College.
