- The Fort Worth Opera has two big upcoming events today. First, the legendary ensemble Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán performs a mini-concert at noon in Sundance Square. The group will also provide music for a Spanish-language opera this weekend.
- Also, the seventh season of the Fort Worth Opera’s program Frontiers happens tonight at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The showcase highlights new operatic works. Selected composers and librettists will present their works in 20-minute performances sung by the FWO-TCU Lesley Artists.
- The Dallas Historical Society hosts Pedro Perez II and his dance company Alegre Ballet Folklórico tonight at Fair Park’s Hall of State. The company will perform while Perez explains the dances and costumes.
