- Musician Carl Lenthe is a trombone virtuoso. He has appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Munich Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the Boston Symphony, and others. He’s the guest artist tonight at Voertman Concert Hall in Denton.
- Texas author Paulette Jiles will speak today at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. She’ll be discussing her historical novel “News of the World” as part of the 2018 Carolyn Brown Literary Series. The book was a National Book Award finalist in the Fiction category.
- Frisco Arts Author’s Corner is kicking off a new book club featuring local authors. Their first meeting is tonight at Half Price Books in Frisco. They’ll host author John Alexander who will discuss his book “The Enclave.”
