- Throughout the weekend, UT Arlington’s Maverick Dance Company presents a collection of thought-provoking and entertaining performances by faculty, guests, and student choreographers. See the show “Via Dance” in the Fine Arts Building on the UTA campus.
- Fan Expo, the largest comic, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming event in Texas also happens this weekend. The three-day celebration of all things nerdy takes over Dallas’ Convention Center. On Saturday you can see the stars like Michael J Fox and Sean Astin.
- On Saturday, Arts Mission Oak Cliff hosts choreographer Ebony Noelle Golden for a performance called “The Dallas Project: Routes.” It’s about the history of the medical industrial complex and reproductive justice. The performance will be followed by a short panel discussion led by the performers.
- On Sunday, Shipping & Receiving Bar in Fort Worth has a day-long arts event planned called Roots and Branches. The day includes music and an interactive gallery show.
