- Saturday is the final day of UNT’s International Festival of Czech Music. Head to the Lyric Theater in Denton to see Leos Janáček’s “The Cunning Little Vixen.” The Czech comic opera is directed by Art&Seek Spotlight Artist Jonathan Eaton.
- Also on Saturday, bluesman Gary Clark Jr and R&B singer Tameca Jones travel north from Austin tonight to play The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.
- Throughout the weekend, Cara Mia Theatre Company performs “Tina’s Journey” at Dallas’ Latino Cultural Center. The play is about a young girl, her family, and her ancestors who hope to cross the U.S.-Mexico border before the Day of the Dead holidays.
- Fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga was revered for his hand-made costumes and jewelry. “Balenciaga in Black,” is an exhibition of more than one hundred costumes and accessories that all share one major feature: they are all black. See Balenciaga’s work at the Kimbell Art Museum through Jan. 6.
