- Stage West is about to kick off a three-day festival featuring 17 plays written by kids between the ages of 13 and 19. Don’t miss the Festival of the Kid, May 8 through May 10, in Fort Worth.
- Literary legend Sandra Cisneros, probably best known for her book “House on Mango Street,” stops by the Dallas Museum of Art to chat about her new book, “A House of My Own: Stories from My Life.” It’s part of the DMA’s literary and performing arts series, Arts & Letters Live.
- Also in Dallas, The Wild Detectives bookstore is starting a new book club for Spanish language readers. El Book Club series begins with the book “Cosas que Perdimos en el Fuego” (“Things We Lost in the Fire”) by Mariana Enríquez.
