BOOM! Here’s Your Fourth Of July Fireworks Superlist!

Before you head out to celebrate Independence Day, be sure to check out our Superlist of all the best firework displays happening around the North Texas area.

If you’re ready to get out and celebrate this Independence Day in true Yankee Doodle Dandy style the Art&Seek 4th of July theme is for you. Not only does it tell you where to find all the best firework displays in your home town, but also lists the parades, festivals and Fourth of July fun happening in the North Texas area.

To help break it down a little further, here’s a rundown of the fireworks displays in our area, and more importantly, what night they happen.

Music and confetti

The Fourth of July is great, but the heat that comes with it isn’t so great. If you’re looking for a way to skip the scorching temps but still celebrate, don’t miss the Dallas Winds’ Annual Star-Spangled Spectacular at the Meyerson Symphony Center. The Dallas Winds will be performing all your patriotic inside the glorious cool of the Meyerson. They’ll also have indoor fireworks in the form of CONFETTI canons! The concert happens at 1 p.m. on July 4.

Irving celebrates

The City of Irving is bringing back the spark in the Fourth of July with their two-day Independence Day Celebration. It all starts at 9 a.m. on July 3rd with the city’s community award-winning parade that features floats, costumes, and custom vehicles. On the evening of July 4th, head to Levy Plaza in Las Colinas for the evening’s festivities–live music, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks show.

Back in time

If a simpler 4th of July celebration is what you crave, you don’t have to look any further than Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park. Kids can decorate their bikes and wagons for a parade around the village at noon, and pose for a patriotic picture with the resident donkeys Waylon and Willie. A special reading by Michael Brundy of Frederick Douglass’s famous Independence Day Speech will also be read during the festivities.

Denton parade

Want to celebrate a little early? Check out Denton’s annual Yankee Doodle Parade and 4th of July Jubilee that happens on July 3rd. The parade starts at 9 a.m. at the corner of Hickory and Locust in the square and will wind its way around to the Civic Center where you and the kiddos can enjoy a free children’s carnival until noon. While you’re there, mosey over to Quakertown Park where you can enjoy live music, inflatables, carnival games or catch the hot dog eating competition.

Dog races

Speaking of hot dogs don’t miss the annual Dachshund Dash. That’s right, weenie dogs will go for the gold in this warm-up for the Hotter n’ Firecrackers 5K that happens Saturday night, July 3 at Frisco Square. All the proceeds from the event go to the Collin County Animal Shelter. Both events are part of the 2-day Frisco Freedom Fest.
