KXT 91.7 Presents Your Favorite Artists At Home

by Dane Walters 30 Apr 2020 3:44 PM

Watch KXT 91.7 Presents Shows – From Home.

CTA TBD

The KXT 91.7 Presents concert series is still keeping the music alive, albeit from the comfort of home. The station has been sharing performances from musicians recorded exclusively for KXT listeners.

“Musicians are being more creative than ever right now and we wanted to give them an opportunity to showcase their music in a live setting,” says KXT’s Amy Miller.  “Through this series, we hope to provide our listeners with a live music experience from some of their favorite KXT artists. Our listeners aren’t able to go see shows right now, so we’re doing our best to bring the music to them.”

Michigander

The solo project of Jason Singer, a songwriter from Kalamazoo, MI. He was one of KXT’s favorite discoveries of 2019. His lyricism and affinity for a good hook is apparent whether he’s backed by electric guitars and synths, or by an acoustic guitar.

Taylor Janzen

Her sharp-witted mix of wordplay and melody caught the attention of Glassnote Records, who took her from being the best-kept secret in Manitoba to label-mates with Mumford & Sons.

Cautious Clay

Over 20 million listeners tune in weekly to stations like KXT to discover, learn about, and enjoy music available only on public radio. With Public Radio Music Day on April 16th, Cautious Clay played a special performance for KXT listeners in recognition of public radio’s special role in music discovery.

Sea Wolf

With Through A Dark Wood, L.A.-based singer-songwriter Alex Brown Church marks the return of Sea Wolf, with their first new music in six years.

Laura Marling

Brimming with a solidity and confidence that’s always lurked under the surface but is now taking center stage with her seventh album, “Song For Our Daughter,” UK artist Laura Marling makes her mighty return.

Nicole Atkins

Her honey-and-whiskey tones and gold-threaded wordplay have enthralled fans since the release of her 2007 debut, Neptune City. Italian Ice is the newest chapter in her canon, and KXT was honored to be invited over for her ultra-fab afternoon disco party and performance.
