We’ve made a change to the Art&Seek calendar that airs on KERA FM and KXT FM.
Nilufer Arsala, our calendar host, will chat with with folks who have a tip on things to do at home – bingeworthy series, opportunities for virtual events, maybe even a great recipe, craft project or meditation app.
To kick things off, I told Nilufer about a really cute thing I saw on Facebook over the weekend: The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Erin Hannigan made a video of herself playing oboe at home – and the baleful response from her dog.
She posted it to Facebook and started a thread, encouraging her DSO colleagues to do the same. Many of their pets don’t seem to appreciate the caliber of their owner’s talent.
“We at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra miss performing with each other and for YOU during this time of social distancing, so we’ve found a way to continue our art,” Erin wrote.
