The record-breaking, Tony-winning, crowds-lining-up-to-get-tickets “Hamilton” will come to Fort Worth’s Bass Performance Hall in  June 2020. Tickets to individual shows in the Bass Performance Hall 2019-2020 season are not up for purchase at this time. Bass Hall is selling season packages that start at $343.50. No info yet on when people can buy individual tickets just to “Hamilton.”

“Hamilton” is the runaway, rap-musical success about founding father Alexander Hamilton. The Broadway show’s story begins with Hamilton’s immigration to America and follows him through the Revolutionary War, where Hamilton was Washington’s right-hand man. The musical was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who created an unprecedented sound for Broadway, blending hip-hop, blues, jazz, and R&B.

Hamilton earned the most Tony Award nominations ever, with 16  and 11 award wins.

“We booked our 19/20 Broadway season directly with each show’s booking agents out of NYC, including Hamilton,” said Dione Kennedy, President & CEO of Performing Arts Fort Worth. “We have been in conversations with the booking agent ever since Hamilton announced a tour. Dallas audiences will have the chance to see the show this spring at the Music Hall at Fair Park, and then Fort Worth audiences will have the chance to see it next year on the Bass Hall stage in June 2020.”

Hamilton will anchor Bass’ extensive 2019-2020 season, which will include “Miss Saigon” and “Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”The season includes special performances of “The Color Purple” and the Blue Man Group.

“Our 2019-2020 season is a real blockbuster. These are some of the biggest and best titles Broadway has to offer,” Kennedy said. “Many of them are still on Broadway and many will be making their Fort Worth debuts. It’s a very, very exciting lineup.”
