It was about this time last year that the word got out about a certain Pulitzer Prize-winning musical coming to town.
We knew Dallas Summer Musicals was including the Broadway blockbuster in its 2018-2019 season, but we didn’t know exactly when. Since the initial announcement, fans young, scrappy and hungry have waited ever so patiently for the following update:
“Hamilton” is running April 2 – May 5, 2019 at the Music Hall at Fair Park.
Single tickets aren’t available yet, and it’s unclear when they will be. So, if you want to secure your seat right now, you have to purchase season tickets for Dallas Summer Musicals’ full 2018-2019 season, which includes six other shows.
The company offered the same incentive last year, which “juiced the subscription sales for the 2017-18 season at DSM to more than 20,000 as subscribers locked in good seats,” according to the Dallas Morning News.
If you’re already a subscriber, you have until Feb. 16 to renew and keep those precious “Hamilton” seats. If you’re holding out for single tickets, people who sign up for the eNotes newsletter at DallasSummerMusicals.org will be the first to hear about them.
A year has passed but waiting out another is just as hard. At least that PBS documentary of “Hamilton” is still available to stream, tiding us over until next spring.
