A Quick Look At Art&Seek’s Reporting
- At Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, doctors aren’t the only ones making the rounds. For a little over a year, musicians – national stars and local talent – have been going room to room, playing tunes for patients. Art&Seek’s Anne Bothwell and Dane Walters join KXT’s Amy Miller to report on the national effort to channel the healing power of song.
- Thanks to Instagram – and the onslaught of cookbooks released each year – beautifully lit, impeccably styled food photography is everywhere. But how do they make the food look so scrumptious? Art&Seek went into the kitchen with Dallas food stylist Angela Yeung to find out.
- One of the masters of Texas architecture – Frank Welch – died last week. Welch was 90, and he designed some of Dallas’ most refined yet simple homes. Art&Seek’s Jerome Weeks reminds us of the impact that Welch had in North Texas.
- “From the Ashes” is a new documentary looks at the coal industry’s role as both job provider and air polluter. “The Big Screen” team spoke with a pair of Dallas women featured in the film to better understand the impact that coal can have on our health.
- Polaroid cameras were a breakthrough when they first hit the scene. They were the first camera to shoot and develop a photo on the spot. In our recent “State of the Arts” discussion, Art&Seek’s Anne Bothwell and Jerome Weeks sat down to talk about the once-iconic camera’s history, artistry and technology currently on display at the Amon Carter.
