Want to make a difference in the art world? One way to do it is joining the board of an arts group. But how, exactly, does one do that?
Here’s a start: Check out the Dallas Arts and Culture Board Fair on Thursday at the Latino Cultural Center.
Business professionals who’d like to learn more about board service are invited to this happy hour event. Representatives from a range of organizations, from small groups to the Perot Museum and Dallas Theater Center, will be on hand to discuss these volunteer opportunities.
Tickets are $10 and include bites and beverages. You can register here.
The event’s put on by Business Council For The Arts and its Leadership Arts class of 2017. BCA connects businesses and arts organizations in North Texas. Its Leadership Arts program helps professionals prepare for board and community service and connects them with arts organizations.
