The famous abstract painter visited KERA’s studios today for a THINK interview with Krys Boyd. While waiting in the conference room, he drew on the whiteboard there — to show how a pioneering work by the great Russian artist Kazimir Malevich (perhaps his ‘Suprematism with Blue Triangle and Black Square’ from 1915) influenced one of Stella’s own paintings.
- ‘Frank Stella: A Retrospective’ opens at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth Sunday April 17th and runs through September 18th.
