For the last seven months, the television show “Queen of the South” has been filming in and around Dallas. It’s an English-language adaptation of a popular Telemundo series that will air on the USA Network this summer. And the pilot episode screens at the Dallas International Film Festival on April 16. So this week, we talk to Matthew Penn, an executive producer and director of the show, about the experience of filming it in North Texas.
