For the last 10 years, Garland High School has taken in freshman raised on action movies and romantic comedies and turned them into graduates who are as comfortable talking film theory as they are shooting and editing their own shorts. This week, we talk to the head of the school’s film program about preparing students for a career in the movie business. On Saturday, the students’ work will be on display at the school during the Reel Owl Cinema Festival.
