Birdman is nominated for nine Oscars, including Best Picture. In it, best-actor nominee Michael Keaton plays a washed-up movie star trying to re-establish his career by producing and starring in a Broadway play. This week, we talk to North Texas director Michael Serrecchia – a man who once walked the Broadway boards himself as a member of the original cast of A Chorus Line – to find out how Birdman captures the Great White Way.
