In it, Eddie Redmayne charts physicist Stephen Hawking’s transition from energetic college student to wheelchair bound genius as ALS slowly robs him of the ability to move. This week, we talk to Tanner Hockensmith, Executive Director of the Texas Chapter of the ALS Association, to find out how accurately the movie captures the disease.
