Meet The Director And Visit The Scene Shop in Stagger Lee: Making A Musical

by Anne Bothwell 4 Feb 2015 3:30 PM

The Dallas Theater Center’s Stagger Lee is a rare Broadway-style musical made in Dallas by an African-American creative team and cast. Art&Seek’s digital storytelling project,  “Stagger Lee: Making a Musical,” concludes today.

Check out our special web site, where new features include:

    • Meet director Patricia McGregor and choreographer Camille A. Brown, who explain why working with an all-black team is so significant.
    • Watch a video that captures what goes into creating the set for Stagger Lee and the time-lapse race to finish making and installing it.
    • See slideshows of set designer John Arnone’s drawings and the images that the creative team used to inspire the look and feel of Stagger Lee.
    • Coming next week: Tune into Think on KERA FM Thursday Feb. 12 at 12 p.m. when host Krys Boyd chats with Stagger Lee author and co-composer Will Power.
