The Deep Ellum institution has moved into a new space, but the room needs a little TLC.

First, the good news: Kettle Art is relocating to 2650-B Main St. in Deep Ellum. It’s a bigger location than the original, providing more space for classes, workshops and special events. And the first show in the new space, “Phoenix,” is already booked for Sept. 19. It’ll feature work by some of the same artists who participated in Kettle’s last show, “Jubilee.”

OK, now to the business – Kettle Art is looking for a little crowd-sourced funding to spruce up its new location. And it’s kicked off a Crowdtilt campaign to raise $5,000. People seem to be responding – $3,300 has already come in the door. Thirteen days remaint to raise the rest.
