CATCHING UP WITH CANTUS: The nine-member choral group Cantus performs tonight at Bass Performance Hall. And if you plan to attend, you might need to fire up Google Translate to catch all the lyrics. That’s because in its history, the group has performed works in 30 languages. “In addition to German, French, Spanish, Italian and English, we’ve done Latvian, Estonian and other languages that are a little bit further afield,” tenor Aaron Humble tells dfw.com. Tonight’s program features work by Franz Schubert, Randall Thompson and contemporary composers.

A MUSICAL JOURNEY: Also tonight, the Bella Gaia World Tour drops by the Winspear Opera House. The show is a collaboration with NASA and features instrumental music paired with images from across the globe.Violinist Kenji Williams created the show, and he promises an out-of-this-world experience. “Three astronauts have said it makes them feel as if they’re back in space,” he tells theaterjones.com. “It has the message of our time: the relationship between humans and nature and how the dialogue has been lost. How we’re seeing a breakdown in earth systems. And it is all visualized with the most amazing animations made by NASA.”
