There won’t be a lot of boots and jeans at the Academy Awards this year.

In the major categories, the only Texans that will be making the trip to the Kodak Theatre next month will be Tommy Lee Jones (supporting actor, Lincoln) and Wes Anderson (original screenplay, Moonrise Kingdom). Jones is a San Saba native while Anderson was born in Houston.

As I take another look at some of the minor categories, additional names may pop up. But that’s it for now. Feel free to take a look at the nominees and shout out any names you recognize.
