CHRISTMAS TUNES: Since it’s still very early in December, you’ve probably not quite had it with Christmas music yet. And if you’re looking to acquire more, there are some locals who’d love to sell you some. The dfw.com music writers run through some of the holiday fare by North Texas acts, including the Polyphonic Spree, Ricki Derek and Tim Halperin. And fwweekly.com has the story of Christmas with Lindby and Friends, an all-star holiday album out of Fort Worth.

PIPED IN: Irish artist Eva Rothschild has taken over part of the Nasher Sculpture Center for its current Sightings exhibition. For the show, she’s created a network of painted piping that runs up walls, along the floor, over objects – it basically looks like it has a mind of its own. “Rothschild’s work appears deliberate and mathematically installed, but it also flows with a playful, free reign—making appearances on admissions desks, rounding benches, and climbing throughout the upper gallery,” Cassandra Emswiler writes on Front Row, where you can also see some nice photos. “The ease with which it flows generates a lightness that allows viewers to think of the structure as hollow, despite an inevitable hidden armature.” Check it out through Jan. 20.
