Afternoon Delight: Turn That Lost Arm Into a Recycling Center

by Jerome Weeks 3 Dec 2012 12:58 PM

Musician-producer Flying Lotus’ acclaimed new album, Until the Quiet Comes, has led to this spooky little effects-laden music video – with Elijah Wood’s lost arm turning into a recycling center.

CTA TBD

Afternoon Delight is a daily diversion for when you’re just back from lunch, but not quite ready to knuckle down to work. Check back weekdays at 1 p.m. for another one.

OK, so I didn’t know who Flying Lotus is (experimental rap musician-producer Steven Ellison, great-nephew of jazz pianist Alice Coltrane) which, if additional proof were needed, demonstrates how terminally out-of-it I’ve become (damn you, aging Boomer genes). And it’s not as if this music video actually transformed me into a heavy fan or anything.

But it’s got some very cool visuals with actor Elijah Wood finding his lost arm morphing into a recycling center.
