DTC Extends 'Second City' for a Week

by Jerome Weeks 19 Sep 2012 11:24 AM

So much for the complaints about the JFK assassination sketch. This makes for the second crowd-pleaser in a row for the Dallas Theater Center – after this summer’s flashy camp-fest, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

CTA TBD

The comedy revue from the famed Chicago improv troupe will run through Oct. 6 at the Dallas Theater Center’s Wyly Theatre.

Here’s the release:

The Second City Does Dallas Extended through October 6

Dallas Theater Center is thrilled to announce that the run of The Second City Does Dallas has been extended through Saturday, October 6.  Due to an overwhelming response, DTC’s 2012-2013 season opener will run for an extra week.  It is the second extension in a row for DTC at the Wyly.  The Second City Does Dallas was originally scheduled to close on September 30.  Complete details, including how to purchase tickets, are included below.

Dallas Gets Barbecued, Chicago Style.
Hilarity hits town with a bang when the Windy City’s great comic performers join forces with Dallas Theater Center to take on all that’s great (and not so great) in Big D. How will our fair city fare beneath the satirical scrutiny of Second City? With the Wyly’s glass walls open wide, downtown Dallas becomes the literal backdrop for this outrageously funny show.  Contains adult themes and language.
