COMPROMISE ON THE WAY?: It’s been nearly a year since the Nasher Sculpture Center first complained about the glare coming off of Museum Tower. And a solution may now be on the way. Both sides will meet with Mayor Mike Rawlings on Monday to discuss potential answers, according to dallasnews.com. Topping the list of possibilities is a mechanical louvered system that would be grafted onto the tower to protect the Nasher from the glare. It’s one of about 20 options being considered.

PUTTING DOWN THE PEN: Larry McMurtry was all over the news last week during the runup to his massive book sale in Archer City. He planned to sell 300,000 of the 450,000 books he owns. And during the sale, he passed along some news: he’s done writing fiction. “It’s a gift I’ve exhausted,” he told dfw.com. “I think I had about 20 good years.”
