    nothing too loud or quiet?? Compared to what, exactly?

    • Jerem69

      He’s played “Compared to What?” twice in the last month or so. But, keep pushing those limits. I hate glass ceilings. Give me the Starlight Theatre any night.
      I’m still trying to get him to play Lou Reed’s “Last Shot.”
      ;>)

      if its 5 minutes of distorted guitar and crashing drums and screaming vocals, I prolly will pass. Eno ambient music is too soft, I like things I know can be heard in a car driving down the road.

    Beyond Good and Evil – Hyllian Suite by Christophe Heral

    Kind of dead on the blog tonight. Guess I better pick up the slack:
    * Eric’s Trip, “My Chest is Empty” (this band is hard to find, so maybe you could just play some Julie Doiron.)
    * Beverly Sills (soprano), Louise (Act 3): “Depuis le jour,” composer Gustave Charpentier
    * Mama!Milk, “August”
    * O’Death, “Ground Stump”
    * Pascal Comelade, “Les Yeux Noirs

    • Lyle

      Hey Paul, enjoying the set as always… how about playing “The Bet” or “I”m Gonna Be Your Man” by The Sideshow Tragedy next week.

    Mr. Slavens!
    is there any way you could play my dear friend and local talent Emmeline Miles? She’s a singer-songwriter from Dallas who blends pop and jazz pretty seamlessly. “The Story” is a pretty great track of hers to start out with.
    Shameless plug of my own: the entry on my music blog about Emmeline http://nobodylistenstothis.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/nobody-listens-to-emmeline/

    Thanks for being on the air! I re-upped my membership last week during the show. I was one of the voices in the wilderness. 🙂

    Hey Paul, I’ve just been enjoying the 6/3 show and thought of this – please check out a young band that will have a disc out soon, my son is the drummer so I am totally biased, but they just won a battle of the bands at The Door last night and seem to have the ability to really stir it up. So if you have a moment check YouTube for PLOWBOY live performances. If you like it, we’ll send you a disc later this summer. Thanks for all the great music…
