Congratulations to Misti Boe of Dallas, winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest!

CTA TBD

Congratulations to Misti Boe of Mystic Ink Photography from Dallas, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest! This is Misti’s third win.  She follows last week’s winner, Matt Harvey.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took earlier than the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves a facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Monday to Sunday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Monday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Wednesday.

Misti’s imposing black and white shot is of the facade of the First United Methodist Church on Fifth Street in Fort Worth, and she’ll tell you more:

The image, taken on April 14, 2012, is called “Revival.” It was taken with a Nikon D5100 using a Nikon NIKKOR 18-200 mm F-S DX f/1:3.5-5.6 G ED VR Lens. This was the first time I have photographed the First United Methodist of Fort Worth. This building is special to me because I was a member of the bridal party when my life lifelong best friend married the love of her life here on January 7, 1995.

Great photo. The B&W, high contrast really works.
I’m curious as how to apply. I joined the group on flickr, but it doesnt seem regularly updated, and I submitted my photos last week but they were never accepted. Is there something I’m missing. Thanks.
