Congratulations to David Kurtz of Arlington, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest!

CTA TBD

Congratulations to David Kurtz of Arlington, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest! This is David’s first victory in our contest! He follows last week’s winner, Guy Reynolds.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took earlier than the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves a facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Monday to Sunday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Monday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Wednesday.

Now, here’s more from David:

Title of photo: can’t stop with the bokeh lights!
Tell us more about your photo: I was a little bored one night, it was raining and I was wandering aimlessly around my house. I looked out my front door and noticed that the holiday lights in our front yard were making a nice reflection on the porch and there were some lovely leaves out there as well. Naturally, I grabbed the camera and went outside and laid down on the concrete and began to photograph the leaves. I got wet and cold but got a few decent shots off before I decided that I do care what the neighbors think and went back inside. My wife says I need to branch out and take some landscapes or something but, hey … I just cant stop with this stuff!
