One of a few of our favorite things about this time of year, are newly released holiday tracks by North Texas bands and artists. This year we want to share the joy and the music, so keep checking back this month for free downloads. You can impress your friends and family with your own holiday music compilation!

This first track is Denton-based band, Seryn doing their rendition of the holiday classic, Silver Bells.

Here’s the band’s statement about their EP:

“Seryn released a collection of traditional holiday songs, entitled Seryn and Friends Christmas. “We wanted to say thanks to our fans, and give them something special for the holidays” says vocalist Trenton Wheeler. “Nathan and I recorded a Christmas album way back in 2008, which is how we started playing music together.” The best of that session is coming out of the archive for the new release, along with Seryn renditions of some classics. The band also provides back up for other Denton musicians, including Doug Burr. “One of the best things about Christmas music is all the collaboration and guesting, so we had to get everybody in on a track” says bassist Aaron Stoner. The album is going to be available for digital download, along with limited edition t-shirts, and signed posters here. A few hand-made physical copies, will be available at the Spune Christmas Show at Dan’s Silverleaf on Sunday, December 11th. Merry Christmas from Seryn!”
