Afternoon Delight: Dancing to 'Psycho Killer'

by Jerome Weeks 5 Aug 2011 12:59 PM

Qu’est-ce que c’est? C’est a doo-wop dance version of the great Talking Heads song. Never seen it? It aired on PBS in 1990. Enjoy

CTA TBD

Afternoon Delight is a daily diversion for when you’re just back from lunch, but not quite ready to get back to work. Check back Monday at 1 p.m. for another one.

In case you hadn’t heard, this year is the 50th anniversary of KERA, so we’re digging out some great classics from the vaults. The coming season also sees PBS dusting off a few goodies. So with all that in mind, I thought I’d throw this little ditty up online. It aired on PBS in 1990 as part of a Lonesome Pine special (I have no idea what that was, I confess), a show that was called ISOBOBS because it combined the a cappella group the Bobs with the dance group ISO — in their doo-wop dance treatment of the Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer.’ The hopping choreography is by Daniel Ezralow.
