NPR takes note of new way to hear the latest from Annie Clark.

Disingenuous girls. Kitty cannibalism. Both are the topics of videos teasing St. Vincent‘s new album, Strange Mercy. Out September 13, buzz is already pretty high for her third album, but she’s helping nudge things along by launching her own Twitter campaign to promote the record.

Taking a Jerry Lee Lewis telethon approach, the more times you tweet #strangemercy the closer you get to unlocking the first single off of the album.

Check St. Vincent’s website to track the progress and eventually hear the MP3 you tweeted so hard for.
