Congratulations to Guy Reynolds of Dallas, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest!

CTA TBD

Congratulations to Guy Reynolds of Dallas, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest! Guy joins the exclusive Four Timers Club. He previously won for this shot at the Plaza of the Americas ice skating rink. He follows last week’s winner, Chip Kolb.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took earlier than the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves a facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Monday to Sunday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Monday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Wednesday.

Now, here’s more from Guy:

Guy Reynolds

Title of photo: Psychotic Dog

Equipment used: Nikon F3 with either a 180 or 300mm lens. Tri-x film

Tell us more about your photo: I shot this one afternoon in Baton Rouge while working for the newspaper there in 1988, and it’s certainly an all-time favorite of mine. At smaller papers, photographers spend a lot of hours just cruising for feature material, and I always enjoyed that part of the job. Twenty two years later, I can still picture the location and the scenario. I had stopped to buy a sno-cone and noticed the sign and the pen. I expected to see a mutt and then saw the rabbit. I recall shooting a lot of frames watching and waiting for the rabbit to move in front of the sign. I couldn’t have asked for more when he stood up and perked up his ears right where he did.

Thankfully, the dog was elsewhere.
