ArtConspiracy is right around the corner and team Art&Seek is looking for some help with our mission that night.
Once again, Art&Seek is making a creation station, where everyone who comes to ArtCon can make and display a piece of rapid art
First: Do you have art supplies to recycle? If so, bring them by the ArtCon warehouse, 511 W. Commerce this weekend between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Or drop them off in the KERA lobby next week, 3000 Harry Hines Blvd. We’re looking for small stuff that can be used for collage and works on paper- glitter, magazines, ricrac, popsicle sticks, pasta, pipe cleaners, stickers, scissors, glue, markers, pastels.
Last year, we donated the leftovers at the end of the evening to a Fort Worth art teacher who created some lovely paper cutouts at our station. We’ll do something similar this year.
Second, we’re looking for volunteers who can help us in that area. Take a shift for an hour or two, hand out paper, sign up e-newsletter subscribers and help folks find scissors, glue, etc. at the tables . If this interests you – email me at [email protected] with Volunteer in the subject line.
(If you’ve already emailed me, I’ll be in touch today with our schedule sign-up)
Volunteers receive this handsome t-shirt, modeled by Betsy, Jerome and Nilufer just before they left on a ..er..mission. (It likely involved cocktails.)
