CTA TBD

YOUR BIG BREAK: Think you’ve got what it takes to take the Wyly Theatre stage? Dallas Theater Center is holding general auditions for Cabaret and The Wiz on Sept. 28-29, and if you’ve got the moves and/or the voice, you could be in. This video has got all the details.

AND THE WINNER IS: Congratulations to Elizabeth Schieffer of Dallas, whose short film Jasper took first place in a Universal Studios horror film competition. She talks to Unfair Park about how she shot the short in an alley in one night. While you’re over there, you can watch the movie.

QUOTABLE: “If some people think my music is difficult and my lyrics are hard – well, they are.”

– Stephen Sondheim, in an interview with dallasnews.com ahead of his appearance at the Nasher Salon Series on Thursday.
