Congratulations to Chris Richey of Dallas, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest!

CTA TBD

Congratulations to Chris Richey of Dallas, the winner of the Flickr Photo of the Week contest! Chris previously won our contest in April with this photo. You can see a lot more of Chris’ work both on his Flickr stream and his website, chrisrichey.com. He follows last week’s winner, Sam Reeves.

If you would like to participate in the Flickr Photo of the Week contest, all you need to do is upload your photo to to our Flickr group page. It’s fine to submit a photo you took previous to the current week, but we are hoping that the contest will inspire you to go out and shoot something fantastic this week to share with Art&Seek users. If the picture you take involves a facet of the arts, even better. The contest week will run from Monday to Sunday, and the Art&Seek staff will pick a winner on Monday afternoon. We’ll notify the winner through FlickrMail (so be sure to check those inboxes) and ask you to fill out a short survey to tell us a little more about yourself and the photo you took. We’ll post the winners’ photo on Wednesday.

Now here’s more from Chris:

Title of photo: Close-Up Street/Candid

Equipment: Nikon

Tell us more about your photo: While walking though downtown last Saturday, I came upon a gentleman waiting at a bus stop and thought he looked interesting. I immediately raised my camera, focused my lens and snapped a couple shots before quickly moving on. It was a completely candid moment. No eye contact was made and no words were spoken. Later that night while reviewing images and hoping for the best, I was very pleased with the shot I got.

Candid or street photography is a true passion of mine and what I do best.
