We're Not Losing Just Arts Managers Around Here

by Jerome Weeks 29 Jul 2010 10:26 AM

Mark Nerenhausen has departed the AT&T PAC, of course, while Mark Hadley, managing director of the Dallas Theater Center, has announced he’ll be leaving sometime in September. But this week also sees two other departures . . .

CTA TBD

The Marks, of course, are leaving or have left: Mark Nerenhausen has departed the AT&T PAC, while Mark Hadley, managing director of the Dallas Theater Center, has announced he’ll be leaving sometime after the company’s new season starts in September.

But this week also sees the departures of Jacob Cigainero, director of public relations at the DTC, and Jane Offenbach, director of external affairs for the Nasher Sculpture Center. Very different destinations for the two charming and capable arts professionals: Jane is going to be president of Nashville’s Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Art Museum, a definite move up to what sounds like the Nasher with more shrubbery. Jacob, on the other hand, is planning a pleasant, Waiting for Godot-like career move: He’s going to wander around Europe until he runs out of money and becomes a burden on friends and family.
