MEDIA ALERT: José Carreras Concert on June 23 Cancelled Due to Scheduling Conflicts

DALLAS (June XX, 2010)  Due to scheduling conflicts, the June 23 performance of José Carreras, a special TITAS event at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, has been cancelled. Efforts are currently underway to reschedule the concert for a future date.

Patrons who previously purchased tickets to the performance have already been notified, and will have the opportunity to exchange their tickets for another TITAS performance or to receive a full refund. For additional information and/or to exchange tickets, call the AT&T Performing Arts Center Box Office at 214.880.0202.

The 2009-2010 TITAS season, presented in association with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, will close with the Mark Morris Dance Group on June 18 and 19. Formed in 1980, MMDG has traveled the world, to rave reviews. Since creating his company, the iconic Mark Morris has created more than 120 works for his company, and has created works for many of the world’s most-renowned dance companies. Intensely musical in his approach to choreography, Mark Morris is dedicated to performing to live music and has collaborated with some of the world’s most intriguing musical stars, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Indian Composer Zakir Hussain, and jazz pianist Ethan Iverson. One of the world’s most significant and beloved dance companies, Mark Morris Dance Group promises to be a highlight of the Dallas dance season.

The 2010-2011 TITAS season opens at the Center on September 7, 2010 with a performance by Mariachi Vargas de Tacalitlan, in a collaboration with the Mexican Consulate. With eleven shows, next season’s lineup features spectacular contemporary dance and world music, including MOMIX, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, the KODO Drummers of Japan and the Chieftains, among others.
