In a few weeks, Dallas Theater Center will close its first season in the Wyly with It’s a Bird … It’s a Plane … It’s Superman. And if you’d like to go, there’s a way to get in free. But you’ve got to be a kid.
The DTC is holding an essay contest for kids. The assignment is simple: Explain in 500 words or less why your dad is Superman. (If your dad’s not all that super but you still want to see the show, consider writing about why your dad is Lex Luthor. It couldn’t hurt, and maybe you’ll win on sympathy points.)
Winners will receive a four-pack of tickets to see the show on June 20 (a.k.a. Father’s Day) as well as passes to Six Flags Over Texas that come with handy flash passes to skip the line on the Superman ride.
Sweet deal, no?
You can direct those essays to Rebecca Reid at the DTC ([email protected]). Make sure to have them in by June 11.
